Privacy Policy – Scratch and Win
Last updated: 1 October 2026 (version 1.2.0 for Android and 1.3.0 for iOS)
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Appaloopa.com (“we”) handles data in the Scratch and Win application for Android and iOS (“App”), formerly called “Appaloopa Scratch”. We are the data controller for the App. You can contact us at info@appaloopa.com.
2. Data that stays on your device
The App is a digital scratch card game managed by an operator. Everything you enter in the App (tickets, prizes, prize history, settings and the operator PIN) is stored only on your device. We do not receive, copy or back up this data. It is deleted when you use “Total Reset” in the App or uninstall it.
The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
3. Free version: advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App shows ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). For this reason the free version needs an internet connection.
When ads are shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google, and with advertising partners selected by Google, the following data:
- Device identifiers: on Android the advertising ID; on iPhone the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), only if you allow it in Apple’s tracking request (see section 4);
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address;
- App interactions, such as ad views and taps;
- Diagnostics and crash logs of the advertising SDK.
This data is used to show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud and abuse. It is encrypted in transit. We do not receive it in a form that identifies you. Google processes it under its own policies: How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Your consent (EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App shows Google’s consent form before loading any ads. You can accept or refuse personalised advertising. If you refuse, the App may still show non-personalised ads, which Google selects without profiling you and for which it uses limited data (for example to count views and prevent fraud).
You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options in the App.
On iPhone, in addition to Google’s form, iOS asks whether to allow the App to track your activity (App Tracking Transparency). If you don’t allow it, the IDFA is not shared. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the device).
5. Paid version: “Remove ads”
The one-time purchase “Remove ads” is processed by Google Play on Android and by Apple’s App Store on iPhone. We do not receive your payment details. The App only stores on your device the fact that the purchase is active.
After the purchase the App does not load any ads, does not use the advertising SDK and works fully offline. Google Play or the App Store may contact their servers to verify or restore the purchase.
6. Legal basis and retention
- Data stored on your device: processed to provide the App’s features you asked for.
- Advertising data: processed on the basis of your consent where the law requires it (see section 4), otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in funding the free version.
We do not keep any of this data on our servers. Google keeps advertising data according to its own retention policies.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to it, to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time. Because we do not hold data that identifies you, most requests are best handled by changing your choice in Privacy options, resetting your advertising ID, changing the tracking permission on iPhone or contacting Google. For any question you can write to us.
If you are in the EU you can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
8. Age
The App is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.
9. Changes to this policy
We will publish any update on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
